Dear Wine Friends

My life in wine started 24 years ago when I moved to Sacramento, CA from New York, graduating from Cornell University with a degree in Organizational Psychology and Hotel Administration.

My friends in Sacramento, who are scientists and wine lovers, began making wine in their garage, being true garagistes. We sourced grapes from Napa, Mendocino and the outlying wine growing regions. Our duty was to sample wines every weekend, which led to tasting trips to Napa and the Sierra Foothills. We tasted wine every weekend, during the week, every day. I got hooked!

I quickly moved to the Napa Valley so I could be completely immersed in the food and wine action. In the last 10 years I earned a Certificate in Viticulture & Enology, and Advanced Level WSET, and passed the Certificate Sommelier exam while working at top notch wineries - D. Chandon, Cakebread, Cardinale, and currently Cuvaison

At present I teach wine classes at Napa Valley College.

Teaching wine and empowering others to enjoy the pleasures of wine, is my passion, delivering a facilitation style of enthusiasm and student involvement.
