Wine Tasting

What a fun way to mix and mingle with your business associates from all levels of the org chart by getting together for an off-site day or afternoon at a beautiful winery setting, tasting great wines with an entertaining as well as knowledgeable guide who lives and works in one of the most famous wine regions in the world...Napa!

I have been leading corporate group wine tastings for over ten years, taking private groups to several of my favorite wineries in the Napa Valley. Years of building relationships with Napa Valley wine makers, cellar masters and winery staff have enabled me to design and guide a unique, customized wine tasting and tour for small as well as large groups.

Wine and Food Pairing

Over the years, my husband Joe and I have co-taught this class for all kinds of groups-family, friends, co-workers, public and private groups as well as for the Cooperative Extension at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Joe's resume includes over 25 years work experience at great Relais-Chateau and Michelin Star restaurants including the French Laundry, The Culinary Institute of America, Greystone, Postrio and Nove in California and Nevada.

Joe and I are, to my knowledge, the ONLY couple in the history of wine exam-taking that sat the Certificate Sommelier Exam at the same time and passed at the first try!

We both love to cook and if you sign up for this class, you will enjoy gourmet dishes and taste award-winning wines and more!

What is even more important, is you will discover why food elements pair or don't with a variety of wines.

This class can be a 2-hour or a full day seminar and is completely customized to you and your guests.

Wine Blending

When I started my wine consulting business ten years ago, I designed a group activity around the concept of wine that would be fun, educational, interractive as well as exciting. The concept is about blending different varietals of wine from the barrel, to create one wine. Participants are divided into several groups that become "wineries" and the group's assignment is:

Google, Chevron, Macy's, and Walgreens are just a few of my returning corporate groups who have enjoyed the fun and camaraderie of this exciting and fun day away from the office. As with any of my wine activities, lots of wine and food accompany the event.

Tasting Etiquette

There is a particular order in tasting wine: white ones first, reds second, and then finally, the dessert wines. This is observed to prevent the different strengths and flavors of these wines from interfering with each other.

Food and Wine Duo

The main rule to remember about pairing wine with food is that there are no rules: you should drink the wines you like with the foods you like.
